Using a Poultice

Poutlices are used to remove stains from Marble, Granite, and other natural stones. When using a poulitce, be sure to cover the entire stain completely, cover the area with plastic and leave for at least 24 hours to obsorb the stain. Prior to applying the poutlice, use a neutralizing cleaner on the area. Some contractors and installers use an acid to hone stone and tile. Without neutralizing the area and the acid used, the poultice can leave an etch in the area when removed. Once you remove the poultice, use the neutralizing cleaner again to clean the area.
